Demi Chef de Partie

Position Overview

The Demi Chef de Partie plays a pivotal role in preparing special meals and managing food preparation standards within the kitchen. Responsibilities include regulating cooking equipment temperatures, thawing frozen goods properly, and ensuring correct portioning, presentation, and garnishing of dishes. Maintaining food quality and logs is essential alongside communicating kitchen needs during busy times and coordinating with the Chef on excess food items and daily specials.

Key Duties

• Prepare and cook food items following recipes, quality, and presentation standards.
• Monitor food quantity and quality continuously, preparing cold foods as required.
• Inform Food & Beverage staff about menu specials and items out of stock.
• Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, and employee motivation.
• Adhere to all safety and company policies, reporting hazards and completing safety training.
• Maintain professional uniform, appearance, and confidentiality of company information.
• Provide excellent guest service and engage with team members effectively.
• Perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 25 pounds.
• Fulfill additional duties as assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications

• Technical, Trade, or Vocational School Degree preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in a relevant food preparation role.
• No supervisory experience required.
• No specific licenses or certifications necessary.
