Job description
Overview
We are seeking motivated and detail-oriented professionals to join our Supply Chain team as Demand Planning Assistants or Specialists. This role is pivotal in supporting demand forecasts, optimizing inventory, analyzing sales, and coordinating across departments to ensure availability of products as required throughout the United Arab Emirates.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing and updating demand forecasts based on sales and market data.
- Analyze historical sales records, market trends, seasonal fluctuations, and customer demand behaviors.
- Track forecast accuracy and investigate any significant deviations from expected demand.
- Support inventory management including replenishment and stock level optimization to balance availability and excess.
- Collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, Procurement, Logistics, and Operations teams to align plans.
- Maintain detailed forecasting data, documentation, and generate regular reports on demand, inventory, and performance metrics.
- Contribute to planning for promotions, seasonal demand, and product launches.
- Update forecasts in response to changes in customer demand and identify supply risks for escalation.
- Assist with enhancements of forecasting models and planning workflows to increase efficiency and accuracy.
- Offer actionable, data-driven insights that support supply chain decision-making.
Qualifications
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Logistics, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience in demand planning, inventory control, supply chain, logistics, or business analysis is advantageous.
- Strong analytical thinking and numerical skills are essential.
- Good understanding of forecasting and inventory management concepts.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with ERP and forecasting or supply-chain software is a plus.
- Knowledge of Power BI or other data visualization tools is beneficial.
- Excellent attention to detail ensuring data accuracy.
- Effective communication skills and ability to coordinate across multiple functions.
- Strong problem-solving capabilities and sound decision-making skills.
- Capability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines efficiently.
