Role Summary

The Demand Planner is pivotal in ensuring product availability throughout the distribution network to support commercial objectives and meet customer service standards. The successful candidate will be a proactive and detail-oriented self-starter, organised and driven to achieve measurable results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Precisely order products to align with sales requirements.
  • Forecast demand to minimize surplus stock while maximizing availability.
  • Ensure all necessary product support documentation is received for seamless delivery.
  • Enhance departmental profitability by managing excess stock and minimizing waste.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to ensure efficient product supply.
  • Support the Replenishment Department in achieving and surpassing set targets.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with all suppliers.
  • Coordinate with Replenishment Manager on orders related to promotions or forward buying.
  • Analyze sales reports and data to reduce markdowns, overstocks, and product dumping.

Candidate Requirements

  • Proficient computer skills with a solid understanding of relevant systems.
  • Experience with Excel; knowledge of AX and MRP systems is beneficial but training will be provided.
  • Strong numerical aptitude and analytical capability.
  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Flexible, innovative, and creative approach to business challenges.
  • Ability to analyze and resolve problems efficiently.
  • Team-oriented mindset with willingness to engage with both customers and suppliers.
  • Availability to work weekends, bank holidays, and beyond regular office hours.
