About The Role
Join The Sofa Delivery Company, part of the DFS Group, a team dedicated to delivering exceptional experiences as one of the leading two-person sofa delivery teams. We support renowned brands like DFS and Sofology, providing colleagues with the training, tools, and encouragement needed to create meaningful customer moments whether at home, on the road, or in the warehouse.
Responsibilities
- Safely deliver sofas and furniture into customers' homes, ensuring no damage occurs to the items or property.
- Communicate proactively with customers ahead of arrival to confirm delivery timing.
- Place furniture in the customer’s requested room and responsibly manage waste removal.
- Embody and uphold the values of The Sofa Delivery Company and its associated brands at all times.
- Collaborate with your team and management to provide feedback and enhance service quality continuously.
Requirements
- Capability to work effectively as part of a two-person delivery team.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a genuine desire to assist customers.
- Physical fitness to install and move heavy furniture in varying home environments.
- Commitment to safety for yourself and others in all work activities.
Work Schedule and Benefits
- Competitive salary of £27,505 per year (£13.39 per hour) with an additional annual bonus up to £2,000, paid quarterly, based on performance.
- Regular work pattern with a 4-on, 4-off shift cycle from 7am to 7pm, totaling 39.35 hours per week, offering a balance equating to working less than six months annually.
