Role Overview and Benefits

• Competitive remuneration at £28,189 per year (£13.72 per hour), supplemented by a quarterly-paid annual bonus up to £2000 for exceptional service delivery.
• A structured 4-on, 4-off schedule with working hours from 7am to 7pm, granting predictable and guaranteed shifts equivalent to working less than half the year (39.35 hours weekly) plus annual leave.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform safe and professional delivery of furniture into customers’ homes, ensuring items are placed in the requested rooms.
• Communicate proactively with customers ahead of arrival to confirm delivery timing and details.
• Ensure no rubbish or unwanted packaging is left behind at delivery locations.
• Embodies and represents the values of The Sofa Delivery Company and its brands during all interactions.
• Collaborate closely with your two-person team and supervisors to provide service feedback and drive continuous improvement.
• Conduct daily inspections of assigned vehicles and equipment, promptly reporting any defects or missing items to management.
• Abide by all government driving laws and company policies concerning safety and operational procedures.

Candidate Profile

• Ready and willing to work cohesively as part of a two-person team.
• Possess a valid driver’s licence held continuously for at least 12 months with fewer than six penalty points.
• Strong customer service skills and enjoy engaging with people.
• Comfortable performing physical tasks involving the installation and lifting of heavy furniture in various home environments.
• Commitment to safety and pride in delivering quality work for the benefit of yourself and others.
