Role Overview
We are seeking a full-time Delivery Driver to join our team in Edmonton, Alberta. This position requires operating company vehicles responsibly to pick up, transport, and deliver goods to clients and partner locations within designated time frames. The role demands adherence to all road safety regulations, company protocols, and prescribed delivery routes.
Key Responsibilities
- Load and unload goods securely and accurately.
- Verify delivery details and maintain associated documentation.
- Interact professionally with customers, obtaining signatures or delivery confirmations where necessary.
- Report promptly any issues encountered during delivery or vehicle maintenance concerns.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization inside the delivery vehicle.
- Assist with basic warehouse tasks as required.
- Collaborate closely with dispatch and logistics teams to ensure smooth operations.
- Contribute to ongoing improvements in delivery procedures.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Excellent customer service skills with clear communication and professional demeanor.
- Prior experience operating forklifts or other material handling machinery is an advantage.
- Willingness and ability to provide or undergo training related to delivery operations, safety standards, and logistics processes.
- Experience in sales or food & beverage sectors is a plus, especially for roles involving client-facing deliveries or specialized product handling.
- Possession of a valid driver's license with a clean record; preference for those experienced in delivery or commercial vehicle driving.
- Familiarity with Edmonton local routes and proficiency in using GPS or route planning tools.
- Physical capability to lift and move packages safely following proper manual handling guidelines.
- Dependability, punctuality, and flexibility to work full-time including potential evening or weekend shifts.
- Strong commitment to safety, compliance with company policies, and respectful conduct toward coworkers and customers alike.
