Company Overview

Neighbourly Pharmacy operates one of Canada’s largest networks of community pharmacies, emphasizing personalized patient care and community service. Louck's Pharmacy in Yorkton, Saskatchewan, is seeking a Delivery Driver Clerk to join their team full time, supporting both front-store and delivery operations.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Greet customers warmly, addressing questions and concerns with courtesy and professionalism.
  • Manage cash register operations, stock merchandise, organize shelves and aisles, and maintain store cleanliness through light janitorial work.
  • Adhere strictly to store policies regarding security, shoplifting prevention, and lottery ticket handling procedures.
  • Monitor cash reserves, ensure adequate change, and request pickups as needed.
  • Develop thorough knowledge of store products, stay updated on new arrivals, and understand store layout for efficient customer assistance.
  • Merchandise products effectively using labeling, rotation, and facing tactics; oversee assigned sections and report any inventory shortages to buyers.
  • Assist with inventory management, including supporting reordering and maintaining promotional or seasonal display setups.
  • Handle challenging customer interactions tactfully, escalating issues to management when necessary, and communicate all customer feedback to the store manager.
  • Maintain productivity during non-customer periods and carry out miscellaneous tasks as directed by management.

Delivery Driver Duties

  • Execute pickups and deliveries of medications and medical supplies, maintaining cargo safety and security at all times.
  • Perform daily vehicle inspections and maintain the delivery van’s cleanliness, fueling, oil, tires, and general upkeep.
  • Keep detailed vehicle maintenance records up to date.
  • Complete required delivery paperwork and ensure proper signatures on delivery slips.
  • Report any vehicle issues or maintenance needs to management promptly.
  • Manage daily outgoing mail processing, including postmarking and mailing.
  • Organize and distribute merchandise accurately and maintain comprehensive records.
  • Undertake additional duties assigned by the Front Store Manager or Pharmacy Manager.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Demonstrated accuracy in cash handling and a strong commitment to customer service excellence.
  • Ability to stand for long durations and multitask effectively in a busy retail environment.
  • Clear, polite communication skills coupled with good product knowledge.
  • Previous experience in merchandising, retail, or cashier roles is advantageous.
  • Professional demeanor, mature attitude, cooperation, and appropriate personal grooming with a name tag.
  • Possession of a valid, permanent provincial driver’s license with a clean driving record over the past three years.
  • Submission of a driver’s abstract dated within 30 days is mandatory.
  • Reliable, trustworthy, and highly professional with excellent organizational skills to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong interpersonal abilities for efficient communication with customers and colleagues.
  • Adherence to procedures and guidelines with precise execution.
  • Capability to lift and handle large packages safely.
  • Successful completion of a Criminal Record Check.

Work Schedule

  • This role requires a commitment of 40 hours per week.
  • Availability from Monday through Saturday.
