Role Overview

As a Delivery Driver at G4S Cash Solutions in Exeter, you will be more than just a driver – you will play a vital role in delivering and collecting cash and valuables to and from customer locations while adhering to strict security and operational procedures. You'll be part of a dedicated, well-trained team serving the local community. Reliability, punctuality, excellent interpersonal skills, and flexibility to work varied hours, including weekends and bank holidays, are essential. Training and support will be provided to build a rewarding long-term career.

Key Responsibilities

• Make scheduled cash and valuables deliveries and collections within designated time frames, following trip sheets accurately.
• Perform vehicle safety checks and report any security or mechanical issues promptly.
• Adhere strictly to emergency and security procedures, including responses to criminal incidents.
• Verify consignments for accuracy and efficiently load and unload at branches and secure areas.
• Wear company uniform and necessary personal protective equipment (PPE), maintaining a professional and courteous attitude towards customers and the public.
• Participate in training programs to develop skills and advance your career.
• Undertake additional duties as assigned by supervisors or management.

Person Specification

• Possess a valid UK driving licence.
• Strong communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
• Basic numeracy skills and ability to follow strict procedures and meet tight deadlines.
• Physical fitness to handle lifting and transporting heavy items.
• Experience in driving roles and IT/computer systems is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Maintain high security awareness and flexibility to adapt to changing work demands.
• Must pass criminal record, personal credit, and ID checks, and provide verifiable 10-year employment or educational history.
• Comfortable with airport-style searches and a secure warehouse environment.
• An SIA licence is desirable.
• Subject to medical assessment including possible occupational health review.

Compensation and Benefits

• Starting pay at £14.87 per hour, increasing to £15.17 after six months, and £15.47 after twelve months (plus potential night allowances).
