Role Overview

As a Deli Bakery Team Associate, you will deliver exceptional customer service by embodying the core principles and values of Walmart. Your key responsibilities include maintaining and organizing the Bakery and Deli sections, supporting inventory stocking, and facilitating product sales.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and zone the department ensuring product shelves, display tables, and storage areas are well-organized and items are correctly placed.
• Perform regular stock rotation and inspect for expired products.
• Ensure accurate signage and pricing are displayed on merchandise.
• Follow strict standards and protocols for cold chain management, thermometer calibration, temperature logging, food handling, product rotation, and monitoring sell-by and expiration dates.
• Take customer orders for Deli merchandise, prepare hot foods, and assist customers as needed.
• Prepare deli food items using appropriate utensils, operate the rotisserie oven for chicken preparation, and refill prepared side dishes for display.
• Follow bakery guidelines for thawing and baking to preserve the quality and presentation of bakery products such as bread, cakes, pies, cookies, and rolls.
• Adhere to procedures involving ordering, clearance, pricing adjustments, signage, and labeling.

Compensation

The starting hourly wage for this position is $18.70.

Minimum Requirements

• Applicants must be at least 16 years old.
