Deli Bakery Team Associate

Overview

The Deli Bakery Team Associate plays a crucial role in delivering outstanding customer service while upholding Walmart's core values. This position involves maintaining order and cleanliness in the Bakery and Deli sections and assisting with merchandise stocking and sales.

Key Duties

• Organize and zone product shelves, tables, and storage areas to ensure proper placement of merchandise.
• Rotate stock regularly and inspect items for expiration to uphold quality standards.
• Ensure all products are clearly signed and priced according to company standards.
• Follow strict protocols for cold chain management, including temperature monitoring and food safety handling.
• Process customer orders in the Deli department, prepare hot food items, and provide customer assistance as needed.
• Utilize utensils for preparing deli foods; operate the rotisserie oven for chicken preparation; and replenish prepared side dishes for display.
• Prepare bakery items such as bread, cakes, pies, cookies, and rolls by strictly adhering to thawing and baking guidelines to maintain product quality and presentation.
• Conduct ordering, clearance procedures, manage markups/markdowns, and ensure accuracy in product labeling and signage.

Compensation

This role offers a starting hourly wage of $18.70.

Qualifications

• Minimum age: 16 years or above.
