Deli Bakery Team Associate

Position Overview

The Deli Bakery Associate role is centered on delivering exceptional customer service aligned with Walmart's core values. This position involves maintaining, organizing, and zoning the Bakery and Deli departments, assisting with restocking, and ensuring a high-quality presentation of products for sale.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain organization by zoning product shelves, tables, and storage areas to keep items properly arranged and in designated spots.
• Conduct stock rotation and monitor product expiration to ensure food safety and freshness.
• Verify that merchandise is accurately priced and clearly labeled.
• Follow stringent standards regarding cold chain management, thermometer calibration, temperature logging, food handling, product rotation, and adherence to sell-by and expiration dates.
• Take and prepare customer orders for deli items, including hot food options, offering assistance as needed.
• Utilize appropriate utensils for preparing deli foods, operate the rotisserie oven for chicken preparation, and replenish prepared side dishes within display cases.
• Bake and thaw bakery items such as breads, cakes, pies, cookies, and rolls, adhering carefully to product guidelines to maintain quality and appearance.
• Follow procedural requirements for ordering stock, clearance processes, pricing adjustments, and correct labeling.

Compensation

The starting wage for this role is $18.05 per hour.

Minimum Qualifications

Applicants must be at least 16 years of age.
