Deli Associate - Full-Time

Role Overview

Joining Walmart Canada as a Deli Associate offers an excellent chance to enhance your retail and customer service expertise. Key Duties

• Organize and zone the deli department effectively.
• Manage inventory by rotating stock and inspecting for expired products to maintain quality standards.
• Ensure all deli merchandise is clearly labeled and priced in accordance with company guidelines.
• Comply with all cold chain protocols, including thermometer calibration, temperature logging, food preparation standards, product rotation, and monitoring sell-by and expiration dates.
• Take and prepare customer orders involving slicing meats, cheeses, fried chicken, and other deli items, using equipment like slicers and stackers.
• Support frontline associates with price verification requests.
• Prepare deli foods such as rotisserie chicken and fill salads or side dishes, maintaining display readiness and fulfilling special customer orders as needed.
• Maintain a tidy, sanitized, and orderly deli area, free from unrelated items, debris, or spills.

Compensation

The starting pay rate is $18.05 per hour.
