Role Overview
The Deli Assistant is tasked with preparing both hot and cold deli products to a high standard while prioritizing customer satisfaction at all times.
Candidate Profile
- HACCP training is preferred though not mandatory.
- Strong communication capabilities are essential.
- Prior experience in customer service is advantageous.
- Must be able to work collaboratively within a team, handling multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced setting.
- A genuine passion for food and the ability to engage and inspire customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Embed Centra’s core brand values: Proud, Energetic, Imaginative, and Community-Focused in daily activities.
- Prepare customer orders including making sandwiches and rolls, serving hot foods, and slicing meats using precise portion control.
- Cook, prepare, and present food items for sale throughout operating hours.
- Maintain impeccable presentation and standards of deli counter displays consistently during the day.
- Share food enthusiasm by offering recipes, personal tips, and knowledge to customers.
- Address customer inquiries promptly and professionally in accordance with store policies.
