Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Deli Assistant to join our team at Centra in Mooncoin, County Kilkenny. This full-time role is centered on crafting superior hot and cold deli products while ensuring exceptional customer service remains the foremost priority.

Candidate Profile

• Previous experience in customer service is beneficial
• Strong communication skills essential
• Ability to work collaboratively within a fast-paced team setting
• Capability to manage multiple tasks efficiently under pressure
• Enthusiasm for food and the eagerness to engage and inspire shoppers
• HACCP training is an advantage but not mandatory

Key Responsibilities

• Embody Centra's core brand values, including pride, energy, imagination, and community focus
• Prepare customer orders encompassing all fresh food areas—assembling sandwiches and rolls, serving hot food, and slicing meats adhering to portion control guidelines
• Cook, prepare, and present food items throughout operating hours
• Maintain the highest standards in counter displays across all fresh food sections consistently throughout the day
• Express your passion for quality food by sharing recipes, knowledge, and personal suggestions with customers
• Address customer inquiries promptly and professionally, following store policies
