About The Facilities Group Hawaii
The Facilities Group Hawaii (TFG HI) is a merger of two local entities that have collectively provided top-tier facilities maintenance services to renowned Hawaiian businesses for over five decades. Their offerings include a wide spectrum of commercial building maintenance and cleaning solutions, such as routine janitorial duties, carpet care, floor stripping and coating, pressure washing, sanitization, and various building repairs.
Role Overview
As a Day Porter at TFG HI, you will be responsible for servicing diverse client locations across the Island. Client sites range from individual office suites to large professional complexes, educational and medical institutions, as well as financial organizations. Day Porters act as the company's face to clients, playing a critical role in helping businesses present a polished, positive environment to employees and visitors alike.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain the cleanliness and upkeep of office suites, restrooms, and common indoor and outdoor areas.
- Use appropriate cleaning products and techniques effectively to ensure high standards.
- Consistently display reliability, efficiency, and a strong commitment to superior service quality.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with both clients and coworkers.
- Adapt to and learn TFG HI’s specific cleaning processes and protocols.
- Maintain professionalism, integrity, and self-discipline in fulfilling duties.
- Work flexible hours, potentially exceeding 40 hours per week, including nights and weekends.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
- Previous janitorial or housekeeping experience is strongly preferred but not mandatory.
- Ability to work efficiently while following detailed instructions.
- Basic proficiency in English with effective communication capabilities.
- A self-motivated individual skilled in prioritization and managing time effectively.
- Excellent organizational skills paired with keen attention to detail.
- Capable of applying common sense to execute tasks accurately.
- Physical ability to lift up to 25 pounds comfortably, and perform manual tasks including walking, standing, pushing, pulling, reaching, stooping, stretching, bending, sweeping, wiping, mopping, and vacuuming for extended periods (4-8 hours).
