Role Overview
The Full-time Day Cleaner position supports cleaning operations at a prominent private school located in Coomera, Queensland. The role involves working Monday to Friday, from 6:00am to 2:00pm, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety throughout the school buildings and outdoor grounds. Responsibilities include a mix of indoor and outdoor tasks with approximately 1 to 2 hours allocated to leaf blowing every morning and operating a cleaning buggy across the campus during school hours.
Key Responsibilities
- Performing daily cleaning duties across classrooms, facilities, and outdoor areas of the school.
- Ensuring the environment is clean, safe, and presented to a high standard consistently.
- Spending 1–2 hours each morning on leaf blowing tasks around the school grounds.
- Operating a cleaning buggy to cover extensive grounds during the school day.
- Taking initiative to identify and address areas requiring cleaning or maintenance.
- Maintaining professional communication with both school staff and Quayclean management.
- Working independently while coordinating with the larger cleaning team.
- Adhering to health and safety guidelines to deliver quality service.
Candidate Requirements
- Prior experience in cleaning roles, preferably within schools, commercial settings, or similar environments.
- Strong attention to detail and dedication to maintaining quality standards.
- Proactive mindset with the ability to take responsibility for assigned areas.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Customer-focused attitude with strong interpersonal skills.
- Friendly, approachable, and positive demeanor at work.
- Dependable, punctual, and presentable.
- Comfortable performing outdoor cleaning tasks regularly.
- Possession of a current driver's license is mandatory.
- Eligibility to work legally in Australia.
- Valid Police Check and Working With Children Check required for compliance.
