Database Administrator (MongoDB)

Job Overview

We are looking for a skilled MongoDB Database Administrator to manage, support, and optimize our MongoDB environments. The ideal candidate will have comprehensive knowledge of MongoDB administration, design principles, development best practices, and operational procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain MongoDB systems ensuring they are performant and reliable.
• Assist teams in onboarding new projects to MongoDB, providing guidance throughout solution design, development, and testing phases.
• Offer practical troubleshooting support to quickly resolve any issues affecting production databases.

Required Skills and Experience

• Proven hands-on experience managing MongoDB environments effectively.
• Sound understanding of MongoDB administration, design methodologies, development workflows, and operational routines.
• Experience collaborating with MongoDB developers to facilitate onboarding, solution building, testing, and problem resolution in live environments.
• Familiarity with MongoDB Atlas is preferred but not mandatory.
• Knowledge of typical database administration tasks such as bulk data importing and data migration processes.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities to deliver clear, practical advice and support.
