Job description
Overview
We are seeking a skilled Database Administrator with at least one year of professional experience to join our team in Dushanbe. This full-time role involves managing various database systems to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and security.
Key Responsibilities and Competencies
- Managing and administering PostgreSQL, MySQL/MariaDB, and MS SQL Server databases.
- Possessing foundational knowledge of Oracle database systems.
- Optimizing database performance through indexing, analyzing slow queries, and tuning configuration parameters.
- Executing backup and recovery procedures including Point In Time Recovery (PITR), routine backups, and disaster recovery testing.
- Ensuring database security and compliance by managing roles, conducting audits, and implementing encryption.
- Handling replication and clustering architectures while monitoring system health via Prometheus and Grafana.
- Automating processes and managing infrastructure as code tools such as Ansible and Terraform.
- Documenting system changes and managing change control procedures.
Working Conditions
