Database Administrator (DBA)

About the Role

We seek a skilled Database Administrator (DBA) to join our team in Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate will have solid experience of 3 to 5 years in administering and supporting enterprise-grade database systems including PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server, and MySQL.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct routine database administration tasks such as monitoring, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Install, set up, upgrade, patch, and manage database systems effectively.
• Oversee backup, recovery, replication, and disaster recovery processes.
• Continuously monitor performance, availability, capacity, and overall health of databases.
• Perform SQL tuning and optimize database performance.
• Administer user accounts, roles, permissions, and enforce database security policies.
• Diagnose and resolve database-related incidents and performance bottlenecks.
• Support database migration, upgrade, and maintenance efforts as needed.
• Ensure data integrity, reliability, and availability at all times.
• Keep detailed documentation of database configurations, procedures, and processes.
• Collaborate closely with application developers, infrastructure, and other teams on database needs.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• 3 to 5 years of practical experience as a Database Administrator.
• Proficient hands-on expertise with PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server, and/or MySQL database platforms.
• Strong command of SQL, including performance tuning, backup and recovery operations, and troubleshooting techniques.
• Experience managing High Availability (HA), Disaster Recovery (DR) strategies and database replication.
• Understanding of database security concepts, access control, and monitoring tools.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Candidate must be a Saudi National.
