Data Scientist / Senior Data Scientist (Advanced Analytics)

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Data Scientist or Senior Data Scientist specializing in advanced analytics to join our team in Singapore. The role involves leveraging both structured and unstructured data to create sophisticated analytical solutions that support business decisions and operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement data science and advanced analytics initiatives using diverse data types.
• Develop predictive models, conduct forecasting, optimization, text mining, and network analytics validations.
• Oversee the entire analytics process from requirement gathering to deployment and ongoing monitoring.
• Collaborate closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to translate needs into data-driven solutions.
• Facilitate analytics-focused workshops, participate in project meetings, and communicate with clients.
• Generate comprehensive user requirements, technical documentation, data products, and client deliverables.
• Adopt software development best practices such as documentation, version control, and testing protocols.
• Create and enhance reusable analytical templates, frameworks, reports, and presentation assets.
• Independently lead designated workstreams in a dynamic project setting.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Business Analytics, or a related field.
• At least two years’ professional experience in data analytics, data science, or machine learning roles.
• Proficient with Python and SQL for data manipulation and analysis; skilled in implementing machine learning techniques and conducting complex data analysis.
• Experience with data preprocessing steps including feature selection, hyperparameter tuning, model validation, and data visualization.
• Hands-on expertise with Pandas, NumPy/SciPy, Scikit-Learn, XGBoost, and PySpark libraries.
• Familiarity with AWS SageMaker is an added benefit.
• Knowledge of Generative AI technologies including large language models (LLM), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), document intelligence, or conversational analytics is advantageous.
• Background in data engineering tasks such as ETL processes, data pipeline creation, or working with data warehouses is a plus.
• Experience using Git for version control, conducting code reviews, continuous integration/deployment (CI/CD), and test-driven development practices.
• Prior exposure to public-sector, governmental, or defense projects is strongly preferred.
• Eligibility for MSD Security Clearance Category 1 is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication skills with ability to thrive in a fast-paced agile environment.
