Job description

About the Role

As a Data Scientist specializing in pricing within Emerging Travel Group, you will be pivotal in aligning advanced analytical methods with business objectives such as pricing strategies for B2B and B2C sectors, forecasting, and optimization of financial and operational performance metrics. Your work will directly influence revenue growth, cost efficiency, and overall customer journey enhancements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end machine learning initiatives, including problem identification, model development, piloting, and effectively communicating outcomes.
  • Collaborate closely with data engineers to acquire necessary datasets and evaluate the practicality of implementations.
  • Partner with analysts to design effective A/B tests, including metric definition, user segmentation, and result analysis.
  • Develop various modeling solutions including classical machine learning, deep learning, time series analysis, and uplift modeling while conducting thorough error and performance assessments.
  • Prepare and deliver models and code for deployment by the technical team, maintaining accountability for model quality, monitoring metrics, and collaborating on improvement strategies.

Candidate Requirements

  • Minimum of three years professional experience as a Data Scientist.
  • Demonstrated capability to manage complete machine learning projects from inception to delivery.
  • Strong expertise in classical machine learning methods such as feature engineering, classification, regression, and boosting techniques.
  • Practical experience in uplift modeling and time series analysis with relevant business applications.
  • Effective collaboration with business stakeholders, with a solid understanding of optimization challenges including pricing, B2C marketing, lifetime value analysis, customer retention, and A/B testing.
  • Proficiency in Python for data science and machine learning with an emphasis on clean, maintainable code.
  • Advanced skills in SQL for dataset construction, complex joins, and analytical querying.
  • Preferred qualifications include familiarity with MLflow or DVC, workflow orchestration tools like Airflow, anomaly detection / anti-fraud systems, deep learning frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow), and model monitoring techniques.

Benefits and Work Environment

  • Highly flexible work schedules with no rigid start times, emphasizing results over hours.
  • Employees can select their preferred working modality: fully remote, on-site, or hybrid arrangements.
  • A supportive, ambitious team culture focused on mutual appreciation and collaborative growth.
  • Personalized employee growth programs, including adaptation assistance, soft skills, and leadership development, tailored individually.
  • Partial financial support for participation in external trainings and conferences.
  • Commitment to English language proficiency with organized group and private lessons and international speaking clubs.
  • Corporate discounts on travel-related services and accommodations to encourage exploration and travel.
  • Strong emphasis on employee well-being with initiatives like MyTime Day Off, granting additional leave for health, mental recharge, or personal matters.
