Job description
Role Overview
The Data Scientist position entails undertaking independent research to address complex, open-ended data challenges. Candidates should possess an advanced degree in quantitative disciplines such as computer science, physics, statistics, or applied mathematics and have the expertise to devise novel algorithms for problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities
- Investigate and evaluate advanced technologies related to machinery diagnostics, prognostics, and the development of data-driven models and optimizations for complex systems.
- Exhibit proficient knowledge and experience with machine learning algorithms alongside population-based metaheuristic optimization techniques.
- Innovate by generating groundbreaking ideas, setting new research paths, and steering technical projects toward fulfillment.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements and actively participate in expert technical dialogs and reviews within the domain.
- Utilize theoretical foundations to resolve industrial challenges effectively.
- Develop data-driven algorithms targeting anomaly detection, failure prediction, and system optimization through engineering principles.
- Collaborate closely with field and product engineers to determine key system health monitoring metrics.
- Handle and analyze extensive multivariate datasets sourced from equipment operations, manufacturing assessments, and diagnostic procedures.
- Convey concepts, strategies, and outcomes clearly through both spoken presentations and written documentation.
