Job description
Overview
The DrillOps Field Deployment Lead plays a vital role at the wellsite, combining expertise in rig environments with solid knowledge of IT infrastructure. This position involves overseeing rig-related IT systems, executing software updates, maintaining inventory of IT equipment, managing data, and facilitating communication between the wellsite and remote operations centers. Additionally, the role requires a fundamental understanding of data acquisition and core service components of wellsite execution systems, as well as familiarity with town-based Orchestra and Prism software platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and sustain reliable data connections between the rig site and town networks.
- Control and manage user accesses and permission settings.
- Diagnose and resolve issues related to IT infrastructure, RCS and Coda systems, sensors, and cabling.
- Oversee and manage the inventory of IT equipment on site.
- Perform virtual machine restarts when necessary to ensure smooth operations.
Experience Requirements
Applicants should have a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in similar roles.
