Data Science Manager

Overview

We are seeking a Data Science Manager to become a part of a rapidly expanding technology company located in Dubai. This role combines leadership with hands-on technical involvement, focusing on guiding a proficient Data Science team and managing the development and deployment of machine learning models that address real-world business challenges.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Lead, guide, and mentor a team of Data Scientists and machine learning experts.
• Take ownership of building machine learning and predictive modeling solutions, progressing from initial concept through to production deployment.
• Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, and senior business stakeholders to align data science initiatives with company goals.
• Develop and define the Data Science strategy and pinpoint use cases that generate significant business impact.
• Enhance the performance of models, streamline experimentation workflows, and improve deployment procedures.
• Set and promote best practices spanning modeling, experimentation, and machine learning development processes.
• Assist in expanding and scaling the Data Science function as the company grows.

Qualifications and Skills

• Extensive expertise in Data Science and Machine Learning disciplines.
• Prior experience in managing or leading Data Science teams.
• Proficient in Python programming and SQL query languages.
• Well-versed in predictive and statistical modeling techniques and ML methodologies.
• Demonstrated ability to transition models from experimental phases into production environments.
• Adaptability to work efficiently within fast-moving, product-centric organizations.
• Strong capabilities in stakeholder engagement and effective communication.
