Data Quality Lead - Data Governance and Risk Data Management

Overview

Nair Systems LLC is seeking a seasoned Data Quality Lead for its operations in Doha, Qatar. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Data Governance, Data Quality, and Risk Data Management within regulated financial environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Create, maintain, and improve the Data Quality Framework, standards, methodologies, and associated operating models to ensure enterprise-wide data integrity.
• Define foundational enterprise data quality principles, control mechanisms, and performance metrics including KPIs, KRIs, scorecards, and reporting criteria.
• Align all data quality initiatives with established Data Governance frameworks, organizational policies, and regulatory requirements, particularly those mandated by the Qatar Central Bank.
• Establish and monitor data quality standards focusing on accuracy, completeness, consistency, validity, timeliness, uniqueness, and integrity for Critical Data Elements across business and support units.
• Track enterprise-wide data quality through dashboards and comprehensive reports, providing updates to Data Governance Committees and senior leadership.
• Lead the Data Quality Issue Management lifecycle, managing identification, impact assessment, root cause analysis, remediation efforts, and closure verification while maintaining the issue register.
• Evaluate and challenge remediation plans proposed by Data Owners, Stewards, and technology teams, escalating significant risks and unresolved issues for timely resolution through governance channels.
• Supervise data quality controls relevant to regulatory, financial, risk, compliance, and management reports, collaborating with Risk, Finance, Compliance, and Business units to enhance regulatory data accuracy.
• Support regulatory audits, examinations, and data-centric reviews to ensure compliance and high data standards.
• Ensure quality data inputs for AI, advanced analytics, and machine learning projects in partnership with AI Governance, implementing quality controls across the AI lifecycle.
• Engage with diverse stakeholders including Data Owners, business units, IT, Risk, Compliance, Finance, and subsidiaries to enhance data quality maturity and awareness.
• Facilitate governance forums and working groups dedicated to continuous data quality improvement.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Information Management, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Between 8 to 12 years of extensive experience in Data Governance, Data Quality, Data Management, Risk Data Management, or Regulatory Reporting.
• Proven background in banking, financial services, or other highly regulated sectors.
• In-depth understanding of domains such as Data Quality Management, Data Governance, Data Lineage, Metadata Management, Reference Data, and Master Data Management.
• Hands-on experience with Data Governance and Quality solutions like Informatica, Collibra, Microsoft Purview, ABACUS, or similar platforms.
