Job Summary

We are seeking a Data Quality Analyst to join our client's team remotely. In this role, you will be instrumental in enhancing data quality, trust, and accountability throughout the organization. You will collaborate closely with client teams to pinpoint critical data issues, establish and monitor quality rules, investigate root causes, and work with data owners and stewards to implement lasting improvements. This is a hands-on position that integrates data quality management, governance, and stakeholder engagement to support the client's strategic data objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with client stakeholders to gather and document business requirements for data quality monitoring and governance initiatives.
  • Support the triage, prioritization, investigation, and resolution of data quality issues and incidents across the client's data ecosystem.
  • Assist in maintaining, adopting, and continuously improving the client's enterprise data catalog.
  • Cultivate strong working relationships with the client's business stakeholders, data owners, and data stewards to advance data quality improvement efforts.
  • Manage stakeholder communications throughout the lifecycle of data quality projects and initiatives with the client's teams.
  • Analyze the client's existing databases, systems, and data sources to identify opportunities for data quality enhancement.
  • Develop clear and comprehensive documentation, including business requirements, data quality rules, metrics, and reports.
  • Partner with the client's Agile delivery teams, including Product Owners, Data Engineers, and Product Managers.
  • Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of the client's data governance processes, standards, and operating procedures.
  • Support governance activities related to audit, risk, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
  • Measure and report on data quality KPIs and business outcomes to the client's leadership.
  • Aid in the implementation and adoption of data governance policies and standards across the client's organization.

Required Experience

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a Data Analyst, Data Quality Analyst, Data Governance, or a similar role.
  • Proficiency in SQL and strong data analysis skills.
  • Demonstrated experience with data quality management and data governance programs.
  • Proven ability to identify, investigate, and resolve data quality issues.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the capacity to influence and collaborate across diverse groups.
  • Experience in producing both business and technical documentation.
  • Capability to facilitate workshops and work effectively with both business and technical teams.
  • Strong organizational skills, with meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work under deadlines.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable operating in a dynamic environment.
  • Robust analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • A positive, collaborative, and solution-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to work autonomously while contributing effectively to a team.
  • Possession of a relevant third-level qualification in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.

Nice to Have

  • Familiarity with Data Observability and Data Quality tools such as Monte Carlo, Soda, Informatica, or similar platforms.
  • Experience with Data Catalog platforms like Atlan, Collibra, Microsoft Purview, or Databricks Unity Catalog.
  • Prior experience in finance, customer, operational, or enterprise data environments.
  • Experience working within Agile delivery frameworks.
  • Understanding of AI governance frameworks and best practices.
  • Proficiency in using Jira and Confluence.
  • Experience with Power BI, Snowflake, Databricks, and modern cloud data platforms.
