About the Role
Advance Solution BD is looking for a motivated and analytical Data Insights Analyst at entry or junior level to join its expanding team in Sydney. This position is well suited for recent graduates or those starting their careers who have a keen interest in data analysis, business intelligence, and utilizing data to improve business decision-making processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather, clean, and analyze datasets from various sources.
- Detect patterns, trends, and insights that aid business decision-making.
- Compile periodic reports, dashboards, and visual data presentations.
- Collaborate with both business and technical teams to define and understand data needs.
- Track key performance indicators and business metrics to assess performance.
- Conduct exploratory data analyses and resolve data issues.
- Contribute to data-driven projects and initiatives enhancing business operations.
- Ensure data quality by maintaining accuracy, consistency, and thorough documentation.
- Assist in dashboard creation through tools like Power BI or Tableau.
- Utilize SQL for querying, analyzing, and transforming data sets.
- Present analytical findings to internal stakeholders clearly and effectively.
- Continuously refine reporting procedures and analytical workflow efficiencies.
Candidate Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, IT, Statistics, Mathematics, Business, Economics, or related disciplines is preferred.
- Fundamental understanding of data analysis principles and statistical methodologies.
- Working knowledge of SQL and relational database concepts.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
- Exposure to data visualization platforms such as Power BI or Tableau is advantageous.
- Basic familiarity with Python or R programming languages is a plus.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
- Keen attention to detail ensuring data accuracy.
- Effective communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to function independently and in team settings within a dynamic environment.
- Genuine enthusiasm for data, technology, and business intelligence domains.
