Job description
Overview
The Data Protection Officer (DPO) will oversee compliance with relevant data protection and privacy laws, prominently including the Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act 2023, alongside other applicable privacy regulations. This role demands vigilance in monitoring data processing operations, assessing and managing privacy-related risks, and acting as the main liaison for regulatory authorities and data subjects. Additionally, the DPO provides strategic counsel to management to ensure adherence to DPDP mandates.
Experience and Compliance Expertise
- At least five years of exclusive experience in data privacy or data protection roles.
- Proficient knowledge of various regulatory frameworks, including DPDP Act 2023, GDPR, ISO 27701, and ISO 27001.
- Familiarity with HIPAA and PCI DSS standards as applicable.
Work Conditions
This position is based in Korba, Chhattisgarh and requires working on-site six days a week. A notice period of up to 30 days is expected before joining.
