Role Overview

This full-time, on-location position based in Al Khobar requires the Data Protection Officer to lead and manage all data privacy efforts. The incumbent will ensure adherence to applicable privacy laws and standards while serving as the main liaison for regulatory agencies. Key duties include drafting and regularly updating privacy policies and procedures, overseeing compliance monitoring, performing risk evaluations, and providing expert guidance to various internal departments on data privacy implications related to new offerings and operational processes.

Additional responsibilities involve managing requests by data subjects, spearheading privacy impact assessments, coordinating training sessions on data protection for staff, and working closely with legal, IT, security, and business teams to integrate privacy by design throughout the organization.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Proven expertise in data privacy and compliance, demonstrated by successful execution and oversight of privacy frameworks.
• Comprehensive knowledge of regulatory compliance and legal requirements, especially within financial services, payment industries, and data protection laws.
• Proficiency in creating, evaluating, and maintaining thorough privacy policies and internal protocols.
• Experience in conducting risk assessments, managing incident responses, and handling data breach scenarios in regulated settings.
• Strong analytical abilities combined with excellent communication and relationship-management skills suited for advising senior leaders and operational staff.
• Relevant academic credentials in Law, Information Security, Compliance, or related disciplines; professional certifications such as CIPP or CIPM are advantageous.
• Fluency in English is mandatory, with Arabic language skills highly preferred for navigating local legislation and engaging with stakeholders.
• Capability and commitment to working on-site, fostering a collaborative environment while upholding strict ethical principles and confidentiality.
