Role Overview
The Data Product Manager plays a pivotal role in driving Inspire's data-driven culture by ensuring availability of clean, robust data and managing data products critical for business value creation across the company and its franchises. This role involves collaborating with various teams—Marketing, Analytics, Data Science, Operations—to identify data-related challenges and develop strategic solutions for data ingestion, transformation, and presentation. Working comfortably with large data volumes and employing tools such as SQL for analysis and validation is essential.
Responsibilities
- Work cross-functionally to build consensus and drive product lifecycle execution, participating actively in PI planning to prioritize initiatives.
- Define and prioritize key initiatives and detailed epics, providing clarity and guidance to engineering teams on objectives and deliverables.
- Develop and maintain a data product roadmap aligned with company and franchisee value creation goals.
- Collaborate to shape data product strategy, incorporating business insights, data platform engineering, and product vision to solve the most impactful problems.
- Conduct self-testing and support user acceptance testing to ensure feature quality before deployment.
- Manage team OKRs, track performance metrics, and foster accountability among stakeholders.
- Stay abreast of industry best practices, maintain documentation accuracy, and partner with Product Analysts to fulfill commitments.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree minimum, preferably a Master's in Business Administration.
- 6-8 years of total professional experience.
- 2-4 years' experience as a data analyst or technology engineer with in-depth knowledge of data platforms, pipelines, and integrations.
- 2-4 years as a product manager focused on data platforms or similar technologies.
- Proficient in SQL and capable of analyzing schemas, data governance, and quality monitoring.
- Strong strategic, analytical, and documentation skills to translate complex data into actionable insights and clear communications.
- Excellent collaboration and communication abilities to influence cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Knowledge of data governance laws, PII considerations, and handling customer and marketing data from various sources.
- Industry experience in QSR, hospitality, or retail is advantageous.
- Familiarity with machine learning concepts and deployment, cloud warehouses like Snowflake, and analytics tools such as Databricks or Tableau is a plus.
Decision Making & Authority
This position holds significant influence over defining vision, strategy, roadmaps, and prioritization for cross-functional teams spread over multiple product streams.
