Data Modeller with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Expertise

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Data Modeller proficient in data modelling methodologies to contribute to our data architecture initiatives within the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement data models including conceptual, logical, and physical schemas aligned with business requirements.
• Collaborate with stakeholders such as business representatives, data owners, end users, application designers, and data architects to design and enhance data platforms using GCP BigQuery.
• Formulate and uphold best practices specific to BigQuery data modelling implementations.

Required Expertise

• Strong knowledge of database management systems, data warehousing solutions, and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes.
• Experience working with modern data storage technologies including NoSQL databases, data lakes, and cloud data solutions.
• Competent in constructing and interpreting moderately complex to complex SQL queries.
• Demonstrated understanding of diverse data formats such as XML, JSON, CSV, and traditional databases.
• Robust grasp of data security principles, privacy requirements, and compliance considerations within the GCP ecosystem.
• Excellent analytical skills for troubleshooting and resolving complex data issues.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills enabling clear articulation of technical information to non-technical audiences.

Additional Qualifications

• Familiarity with data governance principles and frameworks is beneficial.
• Professional certifications related to data architecture, database management, or similar fields provide an advantage.

Experience Required

Minimum of six years of professional experience in IT focusing on data modelling techniques and methodologies.
