Job description
Overview
Lorven Technologies is seeking a detail-oriented Data Governance Analyst to manage and maintain organizational data assets leveraging platforms like Collibra. The role involves documenting data lineage, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and supporting data quality initiatives within an onshore-offshore delivery environment.
Primary Duties
- Maintain registrations of data assets, reports, and products within Collibra and the Data Marketplace.
- Gather and verify various metadata types including business, technical, and operational.
- Document comprehensive data flow mapping, covering sources, targets, transformations, and movement.
- Contribute to the upkeep of business glossaries, classification, ownership, stewardship, and authoritative source records.
- Assist in documenting data quality rules, tracking issues, and following up on remediation actions.
- Collaborate with data owners, engineers, architects, and application teams to identify and fill documentation gaps.
- Maintain evidence of governance activities, decisions taken, status updates, and necessary action items.
- Monitor project progress through Jira and escalate any impediments promptly to the Onshore Lead.
- Effectively manage multiple Run The Bank (RTB) workstreams while adhering to quality and delivery standards.
Required Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with Data Governance, Data Management, metadata handling, lineage tracking, or data quality processes.
- Proficient working knowledge of Collibra or equivalent data governance platforms.
- Understanding of data warehousing concepts, data modeling, ETL processes, and inter-system data flows.
- Competent in SQL and familiar with cloud data platforms, with a preference for Snowflake.
- Strong analytical, documentation, communication, and organizational capabilities.
- Adept at operating in a hybrid onshore-offshore delivery framework.
Preferred Skills
- Prior experience with Jira, Confluence, and Excel.
- Exposure to financial services or other regulated sectors.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and audit or regulatory compliance documentation.
