Role Overview
We are seeking a data analyst who is passionate about finance and wealth management. Joining our newly created Data and Analytics Centre of Excellence, you will play a vital role in driving client satisfaction through data-informed decisions. Collaborating closely with teams across Wealth Management, Strategy, and Marketing, you will help enhance efficiency, client experience, and overall business performance. This position also involves supporting the transition to Snowflake and the implementation of advanced analytics techniques, blending technical expertise with business insight and curiosity.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in migrating legacy data to Snowflake, maintaining data accuracy and performance.
- Conduct exploratory and statistical analyses to gain actionable business insights.
- Collaborate with departments such as Compliance, Risk, Operations, Finance, Marketing, and Investments to develop data products and solutions.
- Create and present interactive visual analytics reports using Power BI.
- Participate in the design and creation of innovative data solutions.
- Promote data literacy across the organisation through tailored training and support.
- Maintain documentation on metadata, data lineage, and support efforts to uphold data quality frameworks.
Candidate Profile
- 2 to 3 years of experience in data or analytics roles, ideally within financial services or regulated sectors.
- Advanced proficiency with Excel and SQL, handling large datasets efficiently.
- Working knowledge of Snowflake or similar cloud data platforms.
- Good understanding of data modelling principles and schema design.
- Experience with Python, R, or comparable data science tools is a plus.
- Proven skills with BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
- Competent at interpreting business needs into data-driven strategies.
- Strong communication skills, keen interest in continuous learning, and thorough documentation capability.
