Role Overview

As a Data Engineer at Moniepoint, you will be responsible for building and maintaining scalable, robust data pipelines that manage high volumes of data. You will enhance and fine-tune the data platform for improved speed, scalability, and cost efficiency. Collaboration across different teams will be essential to understand and fulfill their data requirements. Furthermore, you will develop monitoring tools and processes to track data accuracy and model performance, while addressing various data-related challenges.

Candidate Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of proven experience as a Data Engineer or equivalent accomplishments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Expert-level knowledge of SQL.
• Proficiency in Python programming.
• Experience working with cloud platforms such as Google Cloud, AWS, or Azure.
• Knowledge of version control systems, particularly git.
• Impeccable verbal and written communication skills.
• A proactive attitude towards learning emerging technologies and methods.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related discipline.

Additional Beneficial Skills

• Familiarity with data governance practices.
• Experience building and deploying machine learning models.
• Understanding of infrastructure-as-code technologies like Terraform.
