Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join our Data Engineering team within the Data Science organization. The team is pivotal in delivering pipelines, infrastructure, and automation that enable Data Scientists to train, evaluate models, and facilitate effortless data analysis and action. The position involves collaborating with product managers, Data Scientists, and engineering teams to develop both internal and customer-facing services. Remote candidates based in India are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and create services that support cutting-edge machine learning products.
• Develop automation tools to assist scientists in deploying models efficiently.
• Maintain and enhance production data systems to ensure reliability and performance.
• Participate in code reviews and pull requests collaboratively with peers.
• Collaborate with multiple teams responsible for different elements of machine learning data infrastructure at CrowdStrike.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 7 years of pertinent professional experience.
• Proven knowledge in technologies such as AWS, Python, Golang, Kafka, Airflow, Docker, Linux, Kubernetes for pipeline construction.
• Experience handling massive datasets, including ingesting and processing over one trillion events daily.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems design and trade-offs involved.
• Familiarity with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) practices and principles.
• Comfortable with containerization and orchestration technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Demonstrated application of AI technologies to improve decision-making, workflows, efficiency, and business outcomes.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in building automated and scalable infrastructure and pipelines.
• Active participation or contributions to the open-source community through platforms such as GitHub or Stack Overflow.
• Prior exposure to tools like Spinnaker, relational databases, and key-value stores.
• Familiarity with Big Data ecosystems such as Apache Spark.
• Experience using AWS services like Batch, EMR, Glue, and SageMaker.
• Background in cybersecurity or intelligence domains is an advantage.
