Data Consultant

Role Overview

The Data Consultant acts as the lead for delivering data-centric solutions on complex custom research and consulting projects. This role focuses on converting extensive, intricate datasets into polished, client-ready materials to support strategic business decisions. Ensuring top-tier data quality, methodological soundness, and delivery excellence are core responsibilities. Reporting to the Global Head of Data and matrix reporting to the Regional Head of Consulting, this role collaborates extensively with Consulting, Commercial, and Product departments, handling large projects across ASEAN and North Asia, including Japan and Korea.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the complete data delivery lifecycle, including sourcing, data enrichment, modeling, validation, and client presentation for complex projects.
• Maintain rigorous data quality control, governance, and documentation to produce reliable and validated client outputs.
• Interpret multifaceted datasets and methodologies into clear, actionable insights for both clients and internal teams.
• Work alongside Consulting, Commercial, and Product teams to evaluate project feasibility, shape data approaches, mitigate risks, and foster business expansion.
• Utilize strong analytical and methodological skills to convert structured and unstructured data into scalable deliverables.
• Promote innovation by exploring AI, GenAI, automation, and scalable methods to enhance efficiency and quality.
• Enhance organizational capabilities through coaching, sharing knowledge, defining best practices, and elevating data consulting standards.
• Coordinate stakeholders across regions to ensure successful implementation of large-scale data projects.

Candidate Requirements

• Eligibility to work in Singapore is mandatory.
• Degree (Bachelor's or Master's) in Statistics, Data Analytics, Econometrics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, or relevant quantitative fields.
• Experience in fields such as data delivery, analytics, market intelligence, consulting, or research technology.
• Proficiency with large, complex datasets and tools like SQL, Python, R, Business Intelligence platforms, Excel, or similar environments.
• Proven ability to handle multifaceted, multi-source data and research projects from inception to delivery.
• Strong grasp of data quality assurance, validation methods, data lineage, and governance practices.
• Excellent collaboration, influencing, communication, and presentation skills to build trust across commercial, product, consulting, and data teams.
• Ability to convey complex data insights in an understandable and commercially relevant manner to diverse audiences.
• Experience in ASEAN and North Asia markets, especially Japan and Korea, and knowledge of regional languages is advantageous.
