Data Center Operations Support

Role Overview

This role is centered on overseeing and maintaining vital data center infrastructure, ensuring smooth and secure facility operations. The candidate will be responsible for supporting the physical and IT system environment to guarantee continuous operational effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee critical systems such as power supply, cooling units, and fire suppression mechanisms to maintain optimal data center conditions.
• Conduct regular environmental assessments including monitoring temperature, humidity, and detection of any water leakage.
• Assist in facility upkeep, installation of equipment, and efficient cable organization.
• Manage physical security tasks such as controlling access, monitoring CCTV feeds, and handling visitor protocols.
• Monitor IT systems by performing fundamental troubleshooting, managing system administration tasks, and overseeing user access controls.
• Provide support during incident handling, fulfill service requests, manage backup procedures, and engage in disaster recovery efforts.
• Maintain meticulous documentation, including asset inventories, operation logs, and comprehensive reporting.
• Coordinate activities with vendors and internal teams to ensure seamless daily operations.

Candidate Requirements

• Possess a Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Facilities Management, Engineering, or related disciplines.
• Have a minimum of four years experience in Data Center Operations, IT Operations, or Facilities Management roles.
• Demonstrated understanding of critical infrastructure systems, IT operational frameworks, and security controls.
• Exhibit strong analytical abilities, troubleshooting expertise, and problem-solving skills.
• Possess effective communication skills and capability in managing stakeholders.
• Prepared to work in shifts and respond promptly to any operational incidents when necessary.
