Data Architect

About the Role

We are partnering with a specialist technology consultancy based in Saudi Arabia seeking an experienced Data Architect. This professional will engage with various clients to drive improvements and establish robust frameworks in data architecture, data management, and enterprise architecture.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and maintain conceptual and logical data models that align with business needs and technology contexts.
• Establish and enforce data architecture principles, standards, and industry best practices.
• Identify and map data entities and domains across business functions, applications, and their data sources.
• Contribute to projects involving data governance, metadata management, data quality, integration, and master data management (MDM).
• Evaluate current data architecture states, detect gaps, and assist in formulating target architectures and transformation strategies.
• Collaborate with stakeholders from both business and technology divisions to capture data requirements and design scalable architecture solutions.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive data architecture documentation, governance frameworks, and standards.
• Support broader enterprise architecture and data management efforts across client assignments.

Experience and Skills

• A minimum of 3 years and up to 5 years in Data Architecture, Data Management, Data Modelling, Enterprise Architecture, or related disciplines.
• Proficient understanding of designing conceptual and logical data models.
• Strong familiarity with database technologies, data integration methods, master data management, data governance, and modern data platforms.
• Experience collaborating with diverse business and technology stakeholders to translate requirements into architecture solutions.
• Knowledge of frameworks such as DAMA-DMBOK, TOGAF, and other Enterprise Architecture methodologies is advantageous.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical thinking, and communication capabilities.
• Background in consultancy or client-facing roles is preferred but not mandatory.

They will effectively bridge business and technology teams to analyze current data landscapes and define practical, scalable target-state data architectures.
