About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Data Architect to strategically design and enhance enterprise data architecture, platforms, models, and integration solutions. This position involves close collaboration with technology, analytics, engineering, and business teams to ensure data is handled securely, efficiently, and remains accessible for organizational needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and uphold enterprise data frameworks and technical standards.
- Create scalable data models, schemas, warehouses, lakes, and platform infrastructure.
- Develop data integration methodologies linking applications, databases, APIs, and cloud services.
- Work alongside Data Engineers, Analysts, Developers, IT personnel, and business partners.
- Implement governance protocols for data quality, security, privacy, and lifecycle management.
- Analyze current data ecosystems and propose enhancements to architecture.
- Design solutions handling structured, semi-structured, and unstructured datasets.
- Support initiatives related to cloud data architecture and migrations.
- Document data flows, architecture designs, technical specifications thoroughly.
- Ensure solutions meet scalability, performance, availability, and security benchmarks.
- Facilitate analytics, BI, reporting, and advanced data projects.
- Review and assess data technologies, platforms, tools, and vendor products.
- Identify potential technical risks and devise mitigation strategies.
- Establish industry best practices for data modeling, integration, storage, and accessibility.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Engineering, or a relevant discipline preferred.
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in data architecture, data engineering, or related enterprise data roles.
- Proficiency in data modeling techniques and expertise with database systems, data warehouses, and lakes.
- Advanced SQL skills with strong knowledge of both relational and NoSQL databases.
- Experience with major cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud is an advantage.
- Good understanding of ETL/ELT processes, APIs, data integration, and distributed data systems.
- Knowledge of data governance, security policies, privacy concerns, and quality control.
- Familiarity with platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, or similar is beneficial.
- Strong analytical, architectural design, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent communication and ability to manage stakeholders effectively.
- Capability to convert business needs into scalable data solutions.
