Job Overview
An organization undergoing a major enterprise transformation seeks a Data Architect to take charge of the comprehensive data architecture spanning core insurance and enterprise systems. This pivotal role involves leading the creation of target data models, migration frameworks, and governance structures, anchored by Databricks within the data and analytics landscape.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and define the enterprise-wide data architecture covering core policy platforms and analytics systems.
- Create designs for target data models, establish integration approaches, and develop data ingestion frameworks.
- Direct the data migration strategy to enable simultaneous operation of legacy and new platforms during transition.
- Implement data governance protocols, ensure data quality, and maintain compliance with relevant regulations.
- Align architecture consistently with corporate standards and the goals of the transformation program.
Requirements and Experience
- Proven expertise in enterprise data architecture.
- Experience working with insurance sector data models and integration processes.
- Expert knowledge of Databricks and Lakehouse architecture.
- Familiarity with cloud environments like AWS and/or Microsoft Azure.
- Advanced skills in data modeling and crafting migration strategies.
- Thorough understanding of data governance principles and regulatory demands.
