FRND is dedicated to creating innovative social products that transform how millions interact and connect, focusing on meaningful relationships online. We are seeking a Data Annotation Specialist proficient in Hindi to join our focused in-house team working with Hindi and Hinglish datasets.
Job Responsibilities
- Classify and label Hindi and Hinglish data according to precise, detailed instructions.
- Maintain uniform conventions for spelling, names, numerals, and mixed-script text.
- Review and amend annotations created by other team members.
- Identify unusual cases and support the refinement of annotation guidelines.
- Consistently reach daily targets related to accuracy and output volume.
Candidate Profile
- 1 to 4 years experience in data annotation, localisation, translation, or language quality assurance; candidates new to the field but with strong language skills are welcomed.
- Native or near-native proficiency in Hindi along with working knowledge of English.
- Efficient and accurate typing skills in both Devanagari and romanised Hindi script.
- Preferred formal education background in linguistics, Hindi literature, or translation studies, with priority consideration for senior or lead roles.
- Sound understanding of Hindi grammar, morphology, and script standards.
- Systematic handling of Hindi-English code-mixing and transliteration.
- Awareness of regional dialects including Bhojpuri, Awadhi, Haryanvi, Rajasthani, and Dakhni.
- Knowledge of other South Indian languages such as Telugu, Tamil, and Kannada is advantageous.
- Exceptional attention to detail and patience for consistent, precise work.

Compensation
The position offers a monthly salary ranging from 30,000 to 35,000 INR.
