Role Overview

We seek a Data Analyst proficient in the Google Cloud ecosystem to transform extensive datasets into actionable intelligence for informed decision-making. This role goes beyond routine report generation to designing dashboards, querying large datasets, automating reports, and assisting leaders throughout the organization to comprehend the current trends, underlying causes, and strategic responses.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and manage complex SQL queries within BigQuery to extract, clean, and aggregate large data while ensuring integrity and performance.
• Create and maintain interactive, executive-level dashboards using Looker Studio that translate complicated analyses into clear, decision-ready visualizations.
• Utilize advanced features of Google Sheets, such as QUERY functions, pivot tables, and live integrations, to conduct operational analysis and rapid troubleshooting.
• Automate reporting processes by linking Google Sheets with BigQuery and other workflows to minimize manual tasks and enhance reliability.
• Document definitions for data dictionaries, metrics, and analytical methodologies to clarify the meaning behind datasets for all stakeholders.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to convert vague business inquiries into structured analytical strategies and practical insights.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Proficient with SQL and BigQuery for complex query building and data handling.
• Experienced in designing sophisticated, functional, and visually appealing dashboards in Looker Studio.
• Advanced capabilities in Google Sheets, including formulas, QUERY, and pivot tables.
• Comfortable operating within the Google Workspace ecosystem.
• Ability to translate ambiguous business questions into clear analytical approaches.
• Strong attention to detail with a keen sense of data quality assurance.
• Skilled at communicating technical findings to non-technical audiences effectively.
• Self-driven and proactive in taking ownership of investigations without requiring constant direction.

Preferred Experience

• Exposure to financial or lending data analytics.
• Experience with credit or risk analytics.
• Understanding of customer behaviour and collections or repayment datasets.
• Handling large operational datasets in fast-paced fintech or mobility sectors.

Compensation and Work Environment

• Competitive net salary range of KES 70,000 to 100,000 per month, dependent on skills and experience.
