Key Duties

• Maintain a clean, well-arranged, and customer-friendly Dairy/Frozen department at all times.
• Regularly rotate stock and check for expired items to uphold freshness and product quality.
• Ensure accurate pricing, signing, and inventory management following established procedures for ordering, marking, pricing, and labeling.
• Observe cold chain protocols and food safety, conducting temperature checks, calibrating thermometers, handling food properly, rotating stock, and maintaining sanitation standards.
• Support merchandising by maintaining promotional features and visual standards within the department.
• Keep the work area safe, tidy, and free from hazards by promptly removing debris, spills, and unnecessary clutter, complying with company policies and health and safety regulations.
• Be flexible to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to meet operational needs and provide consistent customer service.

Challenges of the Role

• Effectively manage overnight shifts by planning to sustain energy and focus.
• Handle fast-paced and high-volume tasks efficiently, ensuring accurate restocking and recovery.
• Perform physically demanding activities such as extended standing, bending, and lifting items weighing up to 20 lbs and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
• Carry out repetitive tasks like zoning, stocking, and organizing with attention to detail to maintain standards.

Compensation

The position starts with a minimum hourly rate of $17.75.
