About the Role
Ventia is seeking a Cyclic Patrol Operator responsible for maintaining road networks and performing construction tasks, including machinery operation. The role involves routine road maintenance such as minor pavement repairs, barrier and fencing repairs, upkeep of public walkways and access tracks, graffiti removal, vegetation management, drainage maintenance, litter clearance, asset condition inspections, and other planned or reactive asset maintenance activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute road surface repairs and routine maintenance duties.
- Operate various construction plant machinery safely and efficiently.
- Maintain road infrastructure including fencing, barriers, and drainage systems.
- Control vegetation and remove graffiti in assigned areas.
- Clear litter and debris to ensure public safety and asset upkeep.
- Conduct inspections of asset conditions and respond to unplanned maintenance needs.
Candidate Profile
- Holds a Class 2 Driver's License with WTR endorsement.
- Possesses a Traffic Management Qualification.
- Has at least three years of experience in road or civil construction, including proficient machinery operation.
- Exhibits strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Experienced with a broad range of construction plant equipment.
- Demonstrates a commitment to workplace health and safety.
