Job description
Position Overview
The Cybersecurity Manager at Snoonu leads the daily execution and oversight of the company's cybersecurity functions. This role translates the strategic direction established by the Head of Cybersecurity into effective operational security programs encompassing security operations, vulnerability management, incident response, application and cloud security, identity management, and governance. It acts as the operational core, supervising security engineers, analysts, and specialists, ensuring that security controls are properly applied, risks are monitored and remediated timely, and procedures are consistently executed.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the operational implementation of the cybersecurity roadmap, coordinating across multiple security domains including operations, vulnerability, application, cloud, and identity security.
- Monitor progress on security projects and initiatives, escalate any risks, delays, or resource shortages to senior leadership.
- Manage daily security monitoring, triage alerts, investigate events and act as incident commander during security incidents, facilitating containment and resolution.
- Supervise vulnerability management programs across applications, infrastructure, and endpoints, ensuring prioritization and remediation within SLAs.
- Oversee application security practices and cloud security posture, coordinating corrective actions for security weaknesses and misconfigurations.
- Manage identity and access control operations, including periodic reviews and privileged access management to prevent unauthorized use.
- Support governance and compliance activities including audits against ISO/IEC 27001, PCI DSS, and other standards; manage vendor security assessments.
- Coordinate security awareness initiatives, training, and phishing simulations to enhance organizational security posture.
- Lead, coach and develop a team of security professionals, setting objectives and fostering a culture of accountability and technical excellence.
Candidate Profile
- Degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Computer Science, IT, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 4 to 7 years of professional experience in cybersecurity, including leadership or coordination roles.
- Proven hands-on expertise in multiple security domains such as incident response, vulnerability management, cloud security, and identity management.
- Experience managing security tools and processes within technology-centric environments.
- Understands cloud computing, modern software development methodologies including CI/CD, and enterprise architectures.
- Familiarity with security governance frameworks and compliance processes.
- Strong organizational skills to juggle multiple priorities under tight deadlines and excellent communication skills to interface with diverse stakeholders.
