Cyber Security Specialist

About the Role

The Cyber Threat Intelligence Analyst is tasked with gathering, examining, and sharing cyber threat data from a variety of sources to support proactive defense measures, enhance awareness of the security landscape, and guide both tactical and strategic security decisions. This position collaborates closely with Security Operations Center (SOC), Incident Response, Vulnerability Management, and other cybersecurity units to recognize relevant threats, evaluate risks, and provide practical intelligence.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect cyber threat intelligence from internal systems and external outlets such as open-source intelligence, threat feeds, technical data streams, and industry reports.
• Continuously monitor the evolving threat environment for emerging threats, vulnerabilities, attacker behaviors, and major cyber-attack campaigns that impact the organization.
• Assess threat actor tactics, techniques, and procedures using established frameworks like MITRE ATT&CK, Cyber Kill Chain, and the Diamond Model.
• Generate intelligence products including alerts, detailed reports, threat profiles, briefings, and strategic evaluations intended for both technical teams and executive stakeholders.
• Enhance security operations by enriching alerts, refining detection mechanisms, and contributing threat intelligence to systems such as SIEM, EDR, and other cybersecurity platforms.
• Work collaboratively with incident response and threat hunting teams to aid in investigations and proactive threat identification.
• Maintain and refine threat intelligence processes, workflows, reporting templates, and quality standards.
• Help develop and improve threat intelligence capabilities, platforms, and reporting tools.

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related disciplines.
• Demonstrated experience in cyber threat intelligence, threat research, SOC operations, incident response, or similar cybersecurity roles.
• Strong knowledge of cyber threats, malware behavior, attacker methods, and conventional intrusion tactics.
• Hands-on experience with threat intelligence platforms, SIEM tools, EDR/XDR technologies, and pertinent intelligence sources.
• Familiar with structured intelligence analysis and the intelligence lifecycle process.
• Ability to create clear, concise, and actionable intelligence documentation tailored for diverse audiences.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Industry-recognized certifications such as CISSP, GCTI, GCIA, GCFA, or equivalent.
• Experience analyzing advanced persistent threats, ransomware campaigns, cybercrime organizations, or sector-specific threat patterns.
• Exposure to threat hunting, malware analysis, digital forensics, or vulnerability intelligence is advantageous.
