Cyber Security Project Manager

Position Overview

We are on the lookout for a seasoned Cyber Security Project Manager to spearhead key cybersecurity projects within Trading, Forex, Brokerage, and Financial Services sectors. This role involves managing the comprehensive lifecycle of cybersecurity projects to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of critical systems while adhering to applicable financial regulations and industry security benchmarks. The ideal candidate will blend extensive project management skills with practical expertise in cybersecurity technologies and possess experience in strictly regulated financial domains.

Responsibilities

• Oversee planning, execution, tracking, and successful completion of cybersecurity projects related to Trading, Forex, Brokerage, and Financial Services platforms.
• Manage security efforts spanning Identity and Access Management (IAM), Privileged Access Management (PAM), Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), Security Operations Center (SOC), Endpoint Security, Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Cloud and Network Security, Zero Trust frameworks, and Vulnerability Management.
• Work collaboratively with teams across Information Security, Infrastructure, Trading Technology, DevOps, Application Development, Risk Management, Compliance, Internal Audit, and business units.
• Ensure security controls are effectively embedded in trading platforms, payment gateways, client portals, APIs, mobile apps, and cloud environments.
• Guide security projects that support electronic trading platforms including FIX connectivity, market data services, payment processing, and digital customer channels.
• Create and maintain detailed project plans, budgets, risk and issue logs (RAID), governance reports, executive dashboards, and other project documentation.
• Manage relationships with third-party cybersecurity vendors, implementation partners, penetration testing firms, and Managed Security Service Providers (MSSPs).
• Coordinate vulnerability assessments, penetration tests, security audits, remediation efforts, and regulatory compliance initiatives.
• Lead initiatives focused on cyber resilience, business continuity, disaster recovery, and incident response preparation.
• Ensure prompt delivery of remediation activities following audits, inspections, vulnerability scans, and penetration tests.
• Provide consistent project status updates and executive reporting to senior leadership and governance bodies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline.
• At least 8 years of project management experience with a focus on cybersecurity project deliveries.
• Background in Trading, Forex, Brokerage, Capital Markets, or Financial Services sectors.
• In-depth understanding of cybersecurity fields such as IAM, PAM, SIEM, SOC, DLP, Cloud, Network, Endpoint Security, Zero Trust, and Vulnerability Management.
• Practical experience managing security projects involving trading platforms, payment systems, APIs, and cloud environments.
• Comprehensive knowledge of financial regulatory requirements, cybersecurity frameworks, and compliance standards.
• Demonstrated capability in managing cross-functional teams, external service providers, and executive-level stakeholders.
• Excellent skills in planning, budgeting, risk management, communication, and stakeholder engagement.
• Professional certifications like PMP, PRINCE2, CISSP, CISM, or equivalents are highly favored.
