Cyber Security Engineer

Role Overview

An OT Cybersecurity Engineer position is available to provide on-site cybersecurity expertise for industrial control systems during FAT/SAT, commissioning, and the early operational phases of a large-scale project with QatarEnergy.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver on-site OT cybersecurity implementation, verification, and compliance support throughout FAT/SAT and commissioning phases.
• Validate configurations of firewalls, network segmentation strategies, zone/conduit designs, endpoint hardening, and access controls.
• Assist in integrating control systems with security infrastructure such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and endpoint protection solutions.
• Perform cybersecurity test cases, aid in follow-up remediation of vulnerabilities, and ensure resolution of outstanding punch-list tasks.
• Ensure all activities comply with IEC 62443 standards and the customer-specific OT cybersecurity requirements.
• Provide consulting services related to cybersecurity assessments, remediation strategies, and installation/tuning of security solutions.
• Collaborate with field engineers, regional teams, and security experts to troubleshoot and resolve cybersecurity issues.
• Engage in customer-led workshops focused on cybersecurity assessments and evaluations.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Deep familiarity with OT cybersecurity tools, appliances, applications, and techniques applicable to DeltaV and analogous platforms.
• Comprehensive understanding of OT cybersecurity architecture and control mechanisms.
• Experience working with DeltaV networking and cybersecurity technologies, including antivirus solutions, firewalls, network switches, VLANs, and zoning/conduit design.
• Knowledge of IEC 62443 and pertinent OT cybersecurity standards within the oil and gas sector.
• Documented hands-on site commissioning experience in OT cybersecurity environments; purely IT cybersecurity experience is insufficient.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, applicable to formal and safety-sensitive operational settings.
