Cyber Security Consultant - Architecture Security

About the Role

Our client is in search of a seasoned Security Consultant to join their Security Architecture and Consultancy team, serving as a trusted advisor on security matters. This role focuses on guiding project teams through designing secure solutions across cloud, on-premises, and hybrid environments, including emerging technologies like artificial intelligence (AI).

Key Responsibilities

• Provide expert security advice throughout project lifecycles, covering secure system design for cloud, on-premise, and hybrid settings.
• Conduct detailed security architecture evaluations to uncover vulnerabilities, misconfigurations, gaps, and risks; provide prioritized remediation strategies.
• Offer guidance on security design and architecture for cloud security, application security, identity and access management (IAM), data protection, and AI systems.
• Execute threat modeling and security risk assessments to identify attack vectors and recommend appropriate controls.
• Translate technical security insights into clear risk and business impact information suitable for technical teams and senior stakeholders.
• Create and update enterprise security standards, baselines, and reusable design patterns covering networks, endpoints, cryptography, cloud, applications, and AI security.
• Evaluate AI and machine learning security posture throughout development, training, deployment, and operational phases.
• Advise on secure and responsible AI deployment practices, including guardrails, human oversight, incident response, and risks from third-party AI/LLM providers.
• Assess security implications of third-party AI services and large language model (LLM) integrations with respect to data residency, vendor access, model behavior, and supply-chain risks.

Candidate Requirements

• Minimum of 8 years' experience in cybersecurity, emphasizing security architecture, risk assessment, and consultancy.
• Understanding of security compliance frameworks and Singapore Government security policies such as IM8 and CCoP; prior experience collaborating with government agencies is a plus.
• Preferred certifications include CISSP, CISM, CRISC, or equivalents.
• A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Cybersecurity, or related fields is required.
• Demonstrated expertise in security architecture spanning cloud, on-premises, and hybrid environments.
• Strong knowledge of cloud security, application security, IAM, data protection, threat modeling, and security risk management.
• Familiarity with AI and machine learning security concerns, focusing on deployment risks and third-party AI/LLM service evaluations.
• Cloud security certifications such as AWS Certified Security – Specialty, CCSP, or equivalents are advantageous.
