Key Responsibilities

• Deliver security guidance and recommendations throughout project lifecycles, ensuring alignment with risk and compliance standards.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Digital, Data, and Cyber teams to develop a Modern Defensible Architecture.
• Provide expertise on security design concerning Cloud, Web, Application, IT, IoT, and Operational Technology systems.
• Lead Threat Modelling and conduct design risk assessments within the Surface Ships division.
• Maintain comprehensive awareness of the Surface Ships ICT security environment and proactively suggest enhancements.
• Partner with the Cyber Security Manager to research and create future-oriented security architectures aligned with business strategies.
• Coordinate with the broader Cyber Security Group to ensure cyber architecture documentation is consistent enterprise-wide, mentor staff, and offer expert advice.

Required and Preferred Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience across areas including Identity, Network Security, Cloud Security, Infrastructure, Operating Systems, and Application security.
• Operational Technology experience is advantageous.
• Familiarity with Information Security Manual (ISM) and international standards such as NIST, ISO, PCI DSS related to ICT security.
• Knowledge of enterprise and security architecture frameworks like SABSA and TOGAF.
• Experience advising project teams on secure solution design and implementation of security principles.
• Professional security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or equivalents are preferred.
• A degree in ICT or a related engineering field is desirable.
• Eligibility for or possession of Defence security clearance at NV1 level is required.
• Ability to be cleared under International Traffic In Arms Regulations (ITAR).
